Why Honors? Because I still think about questions and ideas I encountered as an undergraduate computer science major in the BYU Honors program. Teaching an Honors class is a great way to join up with faculty and students to wrestle with difficult questions. Just like hiking, wrestling with difficult questions is hard work but the views are amazing.

Lucy is a Biology major pursuing the Ballard Scholar award in the Marriott School of Business. She appreciates how the Honors program fuels her love for learning and challenges her to think in non-traditional ways. She enjoys hiking, playing pick-up volleyball, trying new recipes, and taking power naps. Lucy’s goal is to attend medical school and pursue a master’s in either public health or biomedical engineering.
