Faculty Fellows
Honors Faculty Fellows fill specific instructional needs in the Honors Program and are a part of the Honors Community. Fellow appointments are typically for one year. Faculty Fellows are selected based on curricular needs, interest in the Honors Program, excellence in teaching and proven abilities to pursue interdisciplinary education. Faculty Fellows receive $5K (combination of research funding and stipend) to support their research and departments usually commit to a course reduction to support the involvement of the Fellow in the Honors Program.
Most often, Faculty Fellows team-teach an interdisciplinary Honors Unexpected Connections course (HONRS 22x, 3.0 credits), though occasionally other course assignments may be warranted. Fellows may be former Alcuin fellows returning to offer a course they previously taught, partnerships developing a new interdisciplinary course, or disciplinary experts to address particular curricular needs.
Eligibility: Candidates must be full-time professorial or professional faculty.
