Why Honors? The Honors Program brings together several elements that are at the heart of what I believe is a university: students who want to change the world, faculty who are energized by tackling big ideas, and an interdisciplinary space to think together. When these three factors unite, there is a tangible energy that builds a strong sense of community and a belief that we can develop capacities and dispositions that will do incredible good in the world. The Honors Program is unique on campus because it encourages slow thinking through big questions in pursuit of broad knowledge without losing sight of the eternal consequences of our learning.
