Why Honors? I have been at BYU long enough to know where to find the good stuff—and a lot of it is in Honors Program. In a university with many students overly focused on grade point averages, cultural conformity, and future income, and at least some academic programs that favor rapid disciplinary specialization over intellectual breadth, BYU Honors stands out. The Honors Program is a place where faculty and students foster a culture of curiosity, and where the integration of knowledge from all fields of academic learning is a priority. It also cultivates a remarkable place of belonging, where students can safely address important questions relating to the pursuit of truth and knowledge.

I love Honors because it brings together people on campus who might not otherwise find each other within their own majors and their own social groups.  All are welcome here. As an evolutionary biologist, I am awestruck by how much there is to learn from different people and different fields of study. Come bring your best questions to Honors—you will be amazed at the answers you find.
