I'm originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. I grew up loving all the diverse foods down there, so I would consider myself a foodie. Any good food I find here in Utah fills me with so much joy! I love listening to music (mostly R&B, rap, and indie) and I love singing as well. Some of my hobbies consist of soccer, traveling, ice skating, and snowboarding. I am just always down for an adventure!

What is your favorite quote and why?

“What matters to you matters to the Lord because YOU matter to the Lord.” This is my favorite church quote because it helps remind me of how even the little things that matter to me, I know it matters to the Lord as well because of the love He has for me.

What sparked your interest in your major?

I took AP Psychology back in high school and absolutely loved it! During my first semester at BYU, I took a Career Exploration class and had the opportunity to interview a Marriage and Family Therapist. From there, it sparked my interest to pursue Psychology as my declared major. Also, I love helping people in any way I can so learning more in depth of essentially how to help others makes me so happy!

What is something you can never be found without?

You can never find me without my hydroflask. I like the phrase "hydrate or die-drate" as motivates me to keep my hydroflask around to stay hydrated throughout the day.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you do?

With my free time, I love to continue watching whatever tv series I'm watching at the time. Right now, I'm rewatching the tv series Psych.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?

I decided to join the Honors Program as I felt like it would challenge me in ways that my General Education credits and Psychology credits would not. I felt as the interdisciplinary aspect of the Honors Program would help open my mind about different disciplines and help expand my thinking for my other classes.

What has been your favorite Honors experience?

My favorite Honors experience has been taking the Unexpected Connection courses. Each of those courses I've taken have been so different from one another and have helped me connect them with my own major courses in many ways. It has also been really interesting to meet different people from other majors and the professors who teach from different majors as well.

What is your next step in Honors?

My next step in Honors is to submit a thesis proposal. I am planning on submitting it in the summer and my goal is to hopefully have it done by the end of Fall semester 2023.
