I'm from Vineyard, Utah. I have six younger siblings and three dogs. I love BTS, skiing, and anything and everything Disney! I'm a biology major, hoping to attend medical school and become a doctor.

What are your favorite books? / What are you currently reading?

I love Jurassic Park! After watching the movie for the first time, I made my mom buy me a copy of the book.

What do you do differently than most people?

When making a sandwich, I put peanut butter and jelly on the same slice of bread.

What is something you can never be found without?

My umbrella. I carry it everywhere, so I'm always prepared for crazy Utah weather.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you do?

Balloon twisting I taught myself during the covid pandemic, and I've been doing it ever since. I love to make Mad Hatter top hats Link's Master Sword, and Captain America's shield.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?

I went to a high school that was also named after Karl G. Maeser, so when I heard that BYU's honors program was patterned after him, I was hooked! At my high school, we learned through the Socratic method of questioning and discussion, and I can see elements of that in my honors classes too! I love the idea of interdisciplinary thinking and how it connects my high school education and university learning.

What has been your favorite Honors experience?

The Honors Ball! I had such a great time meeting the other honors students and learning all sorts of new dances! The speaker was amazing (and so was the food)!! I had a great time and would highly recommend going next year if you couldn't make it.

What is your next step in Honors?

I'm currently in my first Unexpected Connections course, so I've got 2 more to go!
