I love ballroom dance, traveling, learning languages, everything in the mountains (hiking, camping, skiing, climbing, etc.), running, writing music and poetry, having deep conversations about anything under the sun (especially theory and philosophy), and having fun playing games or sports with friends!

What is your favorite quote and why?

“Act I such a way that you treat humanity whether in your own person or in the person of any other never merely as a means to an end but always at the same time as an end.” Immanuel Kant

What are your favorite books? / What are you currently reading?

I recently finished Anna Karenina and it is now one of my favorite books.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?

Make sure to find a balance between school, work, and still taking time for friends and relationships.

Why did you decide to join the Honors program?

I was excited about the opportunity to do an undergraduate thesis!

What has been your favorite Honors experience?

I loved all my unexpected connections classes, participating in discussions with other students who are devoted and passionate. The classes still have significant impacts on my life today. Since my Astronomy and literature class, I have written a lot of poetry about stars and planets, and I am going to an Astronomy Festival in Bryce Canyon this summer. Before my ornithology class I had never been bird watching, but now it is one of my favorite hobbies.

What is your next step in Honors?

I am preparing my thesis for defense.
