Briefly tell us about yourself and your passions
I'm an editor and designer for print and digital formats. I enjoy baking, playing TTRPGs, and attempting amateur crafting projects.

What sparked your interest in your major?
I originally was a psychology student at BYU, but was drawn to editing and publishing because I realized how much I enjoyed language and design coming together.

What are three things that can always be found in your pantry/refrigerator?
Flour, butter, and some kind of pie filling, whether savory or sweet. I love making little hand pies—they're perfect anytime of year.

What has been the most significant plot twist in your life?
I don't know if this was a plot twist, really, but when I was completing an internship project for my minor, I was introduced to website development. That project led to me becoming more interested in design and book layout, which is now the field I want to go into professionally.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?
I wanted to be able to take classes that would help me look at problems differently—I was introduced to the Honors Program and decided that it would be a good way to learn how to make changes in the world.

What has been your favorite Honors experience?
I have really enjoyed my time with my thesis. It's on format principles to address dyslexia. For the thesis, I created a layout of the Book of Mormon for individuals with dyslexia. This has been something that I've been wanting to work on since my first year at BYU, I just didn't know how to go about it until another Honors graduate suggested I do it for my thesis.

What is your next step in Honors?
I defend my thesis at the end of February. After that, I'll be set to graduate!
