I am the oldest of seven, and love hanging out with my siblings. I play electric guitar, and absolutely love concerts and playing live music. I am planning on going to law school after my undergrad, and am especially interested in media law and legal questions surrounding freedom of speech. Click here to see more information about Davey.

What sparked your interest in your major?
Ever since I was 11 or so, I've loved talking politics and current events. I did debate in high school, which helped both refine and expand my interest in what's going on in the world. Last year, I took a media law class from Dr. Ed Carter and thought, 'Wow, this is just the kind of stuff I'm interested in.' I have loved being in journalism so far, and enjoy tackling both political and personal stories. Go find my stories in the Daily Universe!

What's one item on your bucket list?
Seeing prime Pantera live would be awesome, but since that's impossible my second choice would be meeting Derek Trucks or John Mayer.

What's the best-kept secret at BYU? Why?
Blue Crew is so good that I almost didn't put it in here for fear of giving away the sauce. You get free food and a free football game. They have free swag too. That's pretty sweet.

What are people often surprised to learn about you?
I used to be really into researching rare Lego themes. Pretty nerdy. If there was a history of Lego themes minor, I would be (embarrassingly) really tempted.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?
My mom told me I should. Spoiler alert: it was good advice.

What has been your favorite Honors experience?
I liked the unexpected connections classes I've taken. They are all so great.

What is your next step in Honors?
I'm about to finish Great Questions, then I'll move on to working on my prospectus.
