Briefly tell us about yourself and your passions
I grew up in Eagle, Idaho, where I gained a love of whitewater rafting and hiking. I served in the Alpine German-Speaking Mission from 2020-2022. I love research and writing, and I can't wait to start my Instructional Psychology & Technology master's here at BYU in the fall. I also love traveling to new places, and one of my life goals is to visit every continent!

What sparked your interest in your major?
I started as a history major, and after taking a sociology class my first semester, I realized that everything I really liked about history was actually sociology. Understanding the theories behind why societies function the way they do will always peak my interest!

What’s the best-kept secret at BYU? Why?
Forums. They're not even a secret, they're just the least appreciated event in the world. You already have that hour free, you might as well go listen to some of the most interesting minds of our time!

What are three things that can always be found in your pantry/refrigerator?
Chocolate chips, chocolate bars, and hot chocolate.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?
I joined the program after taking Late-Summer Honors before my freshman year and Dr. Rick Gill's 120 class after I got back from my mission. I met great people and loved the community!

What has been your favorite Honors experience?
The Transformative Art of Storytelling was an amazing class, and I am still friends with many of my classmates.

What is your next step in Honors?
I just defended my thesis a few weeks ago! Now all that’s left is to graduate!
