I am a sophomore from Salt Lake City, Utah. I am an avid skier, and I love spending time outdoors. I love studying history and have loved the chance I’ve had to combine history with my honors education.

What are your favorite books? / What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading the art of racing in the rain.

What are people often surprised to learn about you?

I have a twin brother.

What has been the most significant plot twist in your life?

Covid. School getting canceled and then being reassigned on my mission.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?

I thought that the Honors program would be a great place for me to push myself to be a better student. The Honors program has helped me find opportunities to take classes that I am interested in and classes that I would have otherwise not taken.

What has been your favorite Honors experience?

I loved the HONRS 225 course that I took. The class focused on the physics of the Atomic Bomb and then the history leading up to the event of dropping the bomb. Right after I took the class the movie Oppenheimer came out. A movie that our class was all about.

What is your next step in Honors?

Finish my unexpected connections courses.
