I’m a Freshman currently working on my mission papers. I’m from Vancouver, Washington. I have 5 siblings and I love video games, musical theatre and Pink! My two favorite musicians are Will Wood and Laufey. I collect tea cups and adore floral language and arrangements! Some of my hobbies are makeup and reading, and I love to learn about really niche things and skills!

All modesty aside, what are you better at than 90% of people?

I’m great at cooking and baking, not because of some innate talent but because I get super stressed when doing so and have to follow instructions to a T. So I suppose I’m brilliant at following written instruction.

What are three things that can always be found in your pantry/refrigerator?

Coke zero, pickles and mandarin oranges.

What do you do differently than most people?

I am super routine oriented. One of the best things I do is I have a consistent bed time, 10:30 on the dot! Having a routine makes it easier to make plans and having a consistent sleep schedule makes it easier to focus throughout the day!

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?

I love the idea of looking at things through every discipline possible. Ultimately that’s how the world works, everyone adding in their perspective on an issue. Each person coming from thousands of different backgrounds. I also really loved the idea of publishing in my undergrad, it’s a great opportunity to explore my field a bit more.

What has been your favorite Honors experience?

I’ve loved my unexpected connections courses so far despite only having done one. I love how it forces you to think in wider terms, working with a discipline you’re maybe not super confident with forces growth and will ultimately make you better.

What is your next step in Honors?

Finishing up the rest of my unexpected connections courses!
