I am an aspiring documentary filmmaker, avid tennis player, and rock n' roll lover.

What’s the best-kept secret at BYU? Why?

Definitely the cactus cooler pops in the vending machines.

What is something you wish everyone knew about your major/field of study?

When you choose to study film, you choose to study everything. While film is a very technical art form, it also holds the potential to encapsulate any subject, any language, any story, or any abstraction. With film, expressive possibilities are endless.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you do?

I pick up my acoustic guitar and try to learn some new chords or riffs. I’m no professional by any means, but I always aspire to learn!

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?

I was immediately drawn to the feeling of the Honors Program. As a freshman, I realized early on that the Honors Program was going to teach me a type of learning that I wasn't going to get anywhere else on campus. I also admired the eagerness in which my peers and professors discussed important, yet very complex questions. Plus, I love the walk to the Maeser building! Haha

What has been your favorite Honors experience?

I am currently loving my Great Questions Essay class. More so than other Honors Classes, I am being pushed to expand my way of approaching problems and formulate new ways of expression through writing. I enjoy the discussions we have in class and love learn from my classmates' perspectives and disciplines.

What is your next step in Honors?

I am currently working on editing my documentary creative project for my Honors thesis!
