I am a pre-med student who has a passion of helping others! I love being involved with the Honors Program. I am a volunteer for hospice and love spending time with my patients. I enjoy learning about anatomy, biology, and medicine! Recently I was able to assist in surgery with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and it was one of the best medical experiences I have had in a long time. In my free time I love to ski, go hiking, and enjoy the outdoors. I love the beach more than any place on Earth.

What's one item on your bucket list?

Travel to St. Lucia

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?

Trying your hardest at something is the best thing you can do; be proud of your effort, and accomplishments will follow.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?

I decided to join the Honors Program in order to push myself to work with other disciplines and majors that I have never had classes with before! I love having classes with students with many different interests and goals. Not only have I learned how to work better in groups due to the Honors Program, but I have learned how to expand the way that I approach problems by being inclusive of other disciplines.

What has been your favorite part of your Honors experience?

My favorite part of my Honors experience so far has been being a TA for Honors 120. I love teaching about inclusivity and thinking patterns! I enjoy helping my students and seeing them grow.

What is your next step in Honors?

My next step in Honors is taking my last Unexpected Connections course and then moving on to engaging in a leadership experience and beginning my thesis proposal!
