Briefly tell us about yourself and your passions.
While I may not always been the smartest in a classroom, I really just love to learn. It really is an exhilarating feeling. I've grew up quite the tom boy and am an avid sports fan. I played volleyball, basketball, and golf in high school and love the Utah Jazz like they are my own family. I love trying new foods and discovering new music. I have an amazing family, with the cutest nieces and nephews that I show pictures of, like a grandma, to everyone I meet. Lastly, I love to laugh. You can hear it from miles and it might be obnoxious, but if you can get me to laugh we will be immediate friends.
If there was an Olympics for everyday activities, what activity would you have a good chance at winning a medal in?
Washing the dishes. I don't know why, but it is my biggest stress reliever.
Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?
I had heard about all the cool classes that the Honors Program had to offer and I also knew it would push me to do undergraduate research that I might not have done otherwise. It also was just something different to be apart of and set my college experience apart.
What has been your favorite part of your Honors Experience?
I've loved associating and learning from people that would have never passed through my normal social circle. All these people are so cool and smart and I am amazed by them everyday.
What is your next step in Honors? (Specific class, thesis proposal/defense, etc)
I am in 320 right now and also working on my thesis. I am doing my research on a survey that we sent out through my research job regarding the use of statistical evidence in policy making. I hope to have it finished early next year and defend sometime in Winter 2021.
