Major: Geography
Minor: Japanese
Graduation: April 2021
I'm from dusty Vernal, Utah, and love exploring the Western US and its history, practicing yoga, traveling, and making art! I also play piano and guitar on BYU's folk music ensemble, Mountain Strings. I love my family and friends, and I can't wait to do stuff with them again.
What's your guilty pleasure?
So nerdy, but over quarantine I've become a costuber--I love watching YouTube videos about fashion history and how to sew clothes. Have I made anything? No. But it's fun to watch.
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Real Japanese ramen master. Can't get anything good in the States.
Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?
I wanted to expand my education outside of just my major, and the Honors Program was an easy way to do that! I've learned so much more than I would have otherwise.
What has been your favorite part of your Honors Experience?
I've loved my Unexpected Connections courses. Learning from knowledgeable professors about new topics has been a highlight, and I've made great connections with professors and other students through them. TAing is also a joy :)
What is your next step in Honors?
Just working on my thesis and will be defending in three weeks! Woohoo!
