What is your favorite quote and why?

"It's a great day to be alive!". This is a quote my bishop would say a lot when I was in young men's and it just helps me have the strength to push through the hard days.

What are three things that can always be found in your pantry/refrigerator?

Rice cakes, ground turkey and apples.

What sparked your interest in your major?

I have been an athlete my whole life and learning more and more about how different foods affect my body really interests me. I also like the science behind sports nutrition.

Why did you decide to join the Honors Program?

I decided to join the Honors Program because I want my education to be more diverse. In college, it can be super easy to just associate with those in your major and only ever take classes directly related to your major. However, with the Honors Program, I get to take classes with people from several different backgrounds and majors and get to learn to think in ways I never before have.

What has been your favorite Honors experience?

I have enjoyed Honors 120 so far! Especially the discussions we have in our break-out groups on Wednesdays. It has been eye-opening to think about how many different disciplines are needed to solve great problems.

What is your next step in Honors?

My next step in Honors is to take unexpected connections courses.
