Feeling Lost in the Crowd

The Honors Community

It's easy to get lost in the crowd. BYU is home to over 30,000 students. In Honors, you can be part of a smaller community and associate with students from across the university who are excited by all kinds of learning. The Honors Program sponsors activities throughout the academic year that encourage active engagement with big questions, great works, inspiring professors and  stimulating students. Our Honors Student Advisory Council plays an important role in supplementing the formal Honors curriculum with informal opportunities to discover and discuss things that really matter. Our  hope is that in Honors, you will feel YOU matter!

Get involved today. Our goal is to help you apply what you learn at BYU in education-related service and in the world beyond BYU. This will aid you in your lifelong learning process by serving others through the knowledge that you gain here. Getting involved gives you the opportunity to associate with those from other disciplines, provide academic service, learn while you have fun, and much more!

Ways to get involved...

  • Experiential Learning Requirement including academic service

  • Classes with Honors students

  • Honors Student Advisory Council

  • Insight Magazine

  • Honors events such as the Honors Opening Evening, Honors Symposium, Bagel Bash, Course Kickoff, Departmental Get-togethers, etc.
There is a lot to do. So get on it!
