Honors is an open enrollment program. We are one of the few open-enrollment Honors programs in the United States. There are no prerequisites or necessary applications; you simply need to fill out the online enrollment form. If you are not a freshman and would still like to enroll, please jump to step 3.
How to Enroll in the BYU Honors Program as a new student:
1) Attend the Honors Program Meeting at New Student Orientation (NSO).
a. At this meeting, you’ll learn about the philosophy of the BYU Honors Program and get a brief overview of the requirements.
2) Attend an enrollment meeting.
a. At this meeting, you’ll get a chance to ask questions and learn about the requirements for Honors graduation.
b. These are held during the first few weeks of the semester.
3) Fill out the online enrollment form.
The online enrollment form is just your basic information. You can complete this after going through our online enrollment orientation, found here.
4) Enroll in HONRS 120 in your first year, either fall or winter semester.

If you miss NSO or are not able to come to a scheduled enrollment meeting, simply stop by the Honors Advisement Center (MSRB 350D). Here you’ll find Honors student advisors who can help you get enrolled. Those that wish to join but are no longer freshman and or are transfer students please come to MSRB 350D as well.
