Winter-November 1st
Spring/Summer-March 1st
Fall-July 1st


The Robert K. Thomas Scholarship is named after the founder of the Brigham Young University Honors Program. The scholarship is worth $1,000 and is awarded to applicants who

(1) are a committed BYU undergraduate Honors student,
(2) have completed at least 10 or more credit hours of Honors course work,
(3) have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average,
(4) have an approved Honors Thesis Proposal, and
(5) have already completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form for the current academic year to demonstrate financial need. 

Please do not apply if you do not meet the five criteria described above.

application and then fill it out. You can submit the completed Robert K.
