We highly encourage all incoming students to register for an Honrs 100 course--it is a one-credit, first-block only course that will be an excellent introduction to academics at BYU and the Honors Program.
You will notice that there are three categories of courses listed in the class schedule, all under the course number Honrs 100, but with different titles. Here is an explanation of what they mean:
- Late Summer Honors: credit for students who participate in the Late Summer Honors Program. Registration is only available through registering for the program at http://latesummerhonors.byu.edu.*
- Freshman Honors Experience: designed for incoming freshman students who are not participating in Late Summer Honors
- Honors Experience: course for incoming transfer students or newly returned missionaries in the Honors Program
*Please note: If you are already participating in Late Summer Honors, you are receiving Honrs 100 credit for it and will not be able to get additional credit for another section.
